Westward Ho!

For July, I'm going to shift gears a little from snow sports to traveling, as my family embarks upon our Great Western Adventure.  If my life were a sitcom (as it seems to be many days), its name would be "Double the Adventure."   The cast includes 18-year-old Tom, a kind, gentle soul who longs only to spin and be left alone, his twin James, who plays instruments and quotes Dr. Seuss perfectly (and frequently), their younger brother Daniel, a talented boy scout who will be making his debut as a ski instructor this winter, French "amie magnifique" Charlotte, our au pair for a year who has voluntarily vacationed with us since (!), and my beloved brother Bill, our fabulous host in California. We're hoping to see various guest stars during our trip as well.  Who needs a vacation when you can have an adventure?!   At least that's what I'm telling myself...
